Maths Questions

WALT:  Find the most efficient way to solve word problems
Question 1 - There are 3 Boys and they shared 2 Pizzas. There are 8 Girls and 6 Pizza's! They had to share the pizzas all equal so everyone can have equal amounts of pizza. Who had the most pieces of Pizza? Boys or Girls?
Our Working Out Question #1: Me and Chance first drew the Pizza's for the boys and deiced that each boy gets 2/3 of the 2 pizzas they shared. After that we both deiced to draw 6 pizzas for the girls and split each pizzas into quarters meaning each pizza had 4 pieces each of quarters. It took us a bit of a while but each of girl of the 8 girls get 3/4 of the 6 pizzas! We didn't get a answer at the end but I thought it was the girls but my buddy didn't think but it was the girls that had a bigger pizza pieces than the boys leaving 1/8 bigger than the boys pieces they got!

Question 2 - Each kid is given 0.375 L If each kid gets 0.375 Liters of Paint. There is ONLY 4.5 Liters of Paint How many Kids can Paint?
Our Working Out Question #2: First We did 0.375 x 2 = 0.750 x 2 = 1.500 by the way we kinda got help by our Teacher Mrs IIaoa by adding the two and getting a better understanding! After that we knew that 1.5 = 4 Kids so we times-ed it by 1.5 x 3 = 4.5 Liters of Paint then we did 3 x 4 = 12 kids! Answer = ONLY 12 Kids can Paint.

Task Description: For this task we had to had a buddy and my buddy was Chance!
We were given 2 questions to Answer and also to find the most efficient way to solve word problems.
Overall Reflection: I think this was a great way to a better understanding of decimals and word problems.
What Would better next time: I think I would change my ways of finding a quicker way and learn more of the higher times tables so that way I can solve it faster than now.
