Task Description :

This weeks task for week 6 term 2 was mainly based on a journal all about Reefs and corals and how they are and what they do among the sea. This task was also based on our thoughts our the Green House emissions towards our earth contained about the air going though the earth!

Water Cycle

I have learnt many things during this task I hardly knew about! One thing I learnt about the most is everything it teached me new words and new things of how the water cycle runs to keep earth alive. I've learnt upon how mostly.

Task Description: 

This weeks task for Week 6 for literacy was based on a journal based upon our beloved earth and its water cycle! We had to design our own water cycle of what we think it will go like similar to what was shown and given towards the information to provide us a better understanding of it.

Pompeii CT

As uncovering the historical moment of the story about the time capsule though the Pompeii & Herculaneum in Italy. I was shocked to find out about this story! 

Anyways back to the point I'm a historian that goes back in history and to go find out more about the things that happened in the past during now i'm in the present.

I founded the place where the Pompeii & Herculaneum happened! Just seeing what happened during the past made me feel sad, thinking about all the people who lost their lives and the beautiful village that use to be there. 

I couldn't really walk around as because it was covered up to 4 to 6 m (13 to 20 ft) of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. It was unbelievable! Just the whole village that was so beautiful now buried in volcanic ashes it was so sad to look at!
Task Description: For this task this week we had to go choose 1 out of the 4 choices for our Create Task. I had choosen the going back in time story line short written. In this task I had to go back in time and explain what happened and the emotions I had felt while going to rediscover the event of the historical placing of the moment.

Task Description: This task was all based on the other two I did which was the "Capital Letters" and 

 "Commas" this task carries on the same thing. This was the third and final task to complete the Punctuation Practice. This was just based on fixing the original short written story to fix all the capital letters and commas to make the short written story make sense.

Please take take this task was due last week from week 4.

Task Description : This week the task for reading that was given was based on a journal story named " Oakley Creek " it is mainly based on a girl faith, and her life and thoughts. This was including for us students to re read the story and find the answers to the questions as well as the write the definition to the words given!

Task Description : This task was based on Punctuation which was based all on Commas. This is 2 out of 3 writing tasks completed for this week. I had to relook and carefully see where I could put the Commas into place in the short story written.

Task Description : This task was based on Punctuation based on Capital Letters. This weeks task for Writing 1 of 3 was to go though the letter given as our task. Our task was to fix all the missing capital letters in the letter that was needed to make the letter make sense.

Dawn Service

Task Description :  This task was also based on a Poem book short written called " Dawn Service " which was based on a girl and her story about her Grandparents and what  her parents told her and didn't tell her about her grandparents. This task was the same as the story which I had to think about what my parents told me about my Grandparents or Great Grand Parents and list it down. Please keep in mind this work is from weeks 3 which was last week.

Chunuk Bair Quilt.

Task Description : This task was based on the book "  Chunuk Bair " the book was based on a back then about a War History but short written text form. This task I was given a template which had a hexagon. While reading the text given digital book online I had to put pictures into the hexagon given. That way our teacher can create a Quilt out of it. Please keep in mind this was Weeks 3 works from last week I am finishing off.

Task Description : This task was based on a book poem called " Mascots ". For the task I had to tell the meanings of the questions given towards for me to answer therefore going back in the book to relook at the given questions and answer to them. Please keep in mind this is Weeks 3 work!

Why is the Poppy Worn? ( Choose it Writing )

W.A.L.T - Write about the meaning about poppy's         

 Why is the poppy flower worn on Anzac Day?                                                 The Poppy is a traditional of remembrance that grew on the battlefield after the world wars were finish. The main reason why it is worn on Anzac Day is to always remember those who fought in the war to protect the country's they come from against the other country. We wear them to remember them who sacrifice there lives for us and gave there lives to save many other lives around the world. This poppy also was given a quote " Lest We Forget" meaning we should remember what happened and what they did for us!

Task Description : For this task I had to create a picture of a Poppy using digital websites to draw. This task was all based on Anzac the Poppy Flower. I had to write why the poppy was worn on Anzac day. Please keep in mind this work is from Week 3 last week.

Task Description : This task was based on New Zealand. I had to write a letter to New Zealand about the corona virus and what I would say to the whole of our country and that's what I wrote. This is one of the Writing activity we got to choose to write about. Please keep in mind this work was lasts weeks which was week 3.

I forgot to post it on Sunday and Monday was just a full on day so I am posting it today so its delayed :) This was all based on History and what were learning about what happened though the time line of the history lines that happened! This also follows up upon the pandemic of 1918 though history. So this was all though History of Earth.

Poppy Designing Project

Task Description : This is week 2's task for writing. This was all based upon Anzac day, we had to create something regarding the Anzac flower "Poppy"the remembrance flower to those New Zealanders and Australians who fought. We had to get creative and find and use the materials we found in our house. This was our writing task for the whole week! I had fun creating this! Please keep in mind this was a delayed post It was done on Tuesday but all the texts were done on Wednesday and posting on Thursday :)

The Pandemic of 1918

My new understanding of the 1918 pandemic is

Understanding this story was interesting to find out about this virus and going back in time to find out about it and how it started and how it moved its self around the world bit by bit. I've  learnt new things about this one story. It was a sad story but a historical history story or article to read which still remains in the history of the world book.  The flu and virus is not as big as we think it is but it doesn’t have to be because it can speard from a person to another. The 1918 pandemic was a lot to handle back then.

Task Description : For this task the Kina and Paua had to read a journal called Pandemic of 1918. It was based all on a true story then happened ages ago. We got given a task to read the book then to find out key points or facts about it and write it down on the graphic google document.

Dear Future Me...

Dear Future Me, 

The date today is currently the 15th of April of 2020  I am sheltering in Auckland , NZ. 

The pandemic created in New Zealand caused a big number of causing New Zealand to have confirmed cases of the pandemic sitting at 1,072. Only 628 people have recovered from the pandemic and sadly there are currently 9 deaths from the pandemic.

 At the moment I am feeling alright. I think that the matter of time that I would say it's been handled very well locally from where I’m from but I wouldn’t know about nationally and internationally. 
So far no one in my family hasn’t been affected by Covid 19. Having Fulfill basics in the household, I have deiced to use them wisely! 

 As this virus hit New Zealand it had affected school and how we wouldn’t be able to see my Friends actually in person and to do all the things we did. I would say now that I look back at it if I knew this was gonna happen , I would've spent the most time with my friends and made the most of it you know?! Looking on the bright side I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to learn what it feels like and take my experience of it into the leading future.  Lately I've been talking to my Friends , sleeping a lot and helping around the house as well as cooking to pass time because quarantine got me bored for real!

 What I really miss the most I would say I miss was the world before the corona virus came. Everyone was so happy living there lives with joyfulness but now it's a different story. I think the first thing I would do when this is all over I would celebrate for sure!

 I am mostly worried about our safety and how things are gonna move on. This experience has taught me a lot of things in separate lessons upon why and how. 

I am thankful and grateful for all the people helping out to solve and remove the pandemic away from the world as well as the people who work and sell food in the supermarkets for us people to survive on and help us as well. I gotta say a lot is helping me cope though this time one of this is online schooling. 

These days are struggles to get passed and to stay at home in quarantine especially when I get bored during quarantine. 

Task Description :

This week during the lock down in quarantine for online schooling we are learning upon how to write for a specific audience. This is currently the first day of Term 2 of 2020 and the theme for this term is " We are the World "

Overall All Reflection :

I would say this is a great experience to write to my future self. I think I will read it in the future depending I remember. I really liked this task and hope to do more of it this term!

ＤＥＡＤ － ＥＮＤ ＪＯＢ - C1

~ Ｃｈａｐｔｅｒ Ｏｎｅ Ｓｕｍｍａｒｙ~

In the beginning there is a weird start about cheese doodles and other food .In the book there is a character named Tom Orser and he was known around his town. He had many wife's but is sticking with the one he is with currently. He has a job and got asked to come in work to work for the store/ company he is working for. He made money and traded some with an old lady for some stuff. At the end of the chapter there was a person who knew Tom but once they said it to toms face they walked off. While Tom was lefted curious to see and know who that person was!

Task Description : 

This is a book that I have choosen to read about from a online school site library called " Tamaki College Digital Library " We ( Room 1 Literacy ) got a chance to pick a book based on our reading levels  or year level meaning I got to pick one from a year 8 level. The whole site of the Tamaki College Digital Library is an online reading site and classes all there books at the library put online for students to read! The Chapters we read we have to write a short summary in that chapter!

Overall Reflection :

I would say reading chapter one was pretty interesting and I really like the book I have Choosen!

Don't Let Go Narrative

WALT: Write a narrative using dialogue. 

WALT meaning We are learning to..

As the night was ending in a miracle of peaceful joy of a fairy tale! Until they all took the wrong turn on their way home.

The Horses went crazy , the Girl went flying while still holding a grudge on the handles , 2 animals came out of nowhere , the pumpkin was massive and everything was just a mess! The funny looking Cinderella girl wondered what could go wrong! She had confusion along with her thoughts and wondered if it was a curse?! That’s right her name wasn’t “ The funny looking Cinderella” her name was Emma Faith Valentina.

Emma did conduct herself as a weird person , but that anyhow didn’t reflect who she was and what she wanted to become when her time has come to be what she always wanted to be!
Until she couldn’t hold any longer with the way her grip was weak. She let go of the handle and there she went just about close to the ground. Emma landed chest first towards the hard grass. As slow as a Turtle Emma slowly got up and the Carriage with the White Horses kept going without nothing that could be able to stop them.

Emma didn’t care; she just wanted to figure out what happened and why?!
Emma said to herself “ WHY WHY WHY OUT OF ALL PEOPLE IT HAPPENED TO ME! “ as she said that she started to cry and have fear of what would happen. All alone Emma was out in the mysterious forest with white fog hard to see barely anything in a night of the full moon.

Was Emma not only alone? Was she with someone who stalked her? Did Emma die in the woods without help ? What will happen next ?

It had been three days since it had gone missing. One minute he had held it in his hand, the next it had vanished. How could it just have disappeared?  It had been right in front of his eyes!
He had been warned about what would happen if he lost it. 

His mission had been to guard the key with his life, ever since they visited him last summer.
Adam had always had a detective’s instinct. They had told him as much. He had been chosen because he had certain skills, and he would need them more than ever now.

Only one clue had seemingly been left, which was sat on the living room table.
Holding the magnifying glass up to his eye, Adam began to investigate…

As Adam was closely looking at his magnifying glass towards his eyes he saw a glimpse of something keeping an close eye on him. Adam was curious so he started to lean forward.
As he leaned forward his father looked at him with auspiciousness. 

Not long, his father said “ Adam, is everything old and fine over there? “ '' 

Adam replied strangely '' umm yes “ 

His father was still suspicious and quite weirded out.Adam started to worry. He knew that his own father was going to keep an eye on him considering they were in the same room.

Adam curiously looked back at his magnifying glass closely and saw eyes on top of the self in there secretive home library. He wondered to himself if he was paranoid so he looked away and looked back at the same place and it had randomly disappeared!

Adam had one thing lefted in mind to tell the truth…. But instead Adam didn’t give up that easily. Later 15 minutes went past without Adam knowing considering he had to look for that Key.

Once again his father said “ Look Adam, just tell me what’s up, it's been 15 minutes?! “

Adam looked at his father with a fake grin “ nothing father “

Adam started to get worried. He tried  to the best of his abilities and looked everywhere but nothing came to mind. He tried to rewind back to when he first lost the key but his brain cells couldn’t come to a conclusion. Adam came to a conclusion to tell his father… 

Adam sat next to his father saying in a worried voice “ Father I….I….I “ mubluming

Adam's father replied with concern “ What are you trying to say Adam? “

Adam said “ Father, I lost the key and I'm really Sorry! “ (Tearing up abit)

Adam's father was in SHOCK! He told Adam “ Adam what do you mean? “

Over 4 minutes Adam told the very beginning of the story upon which it had vanished in front of his eyes! At first his Father didn’t believe him! Adam knew it was a ridiculous story to believe but who knew who would have believed him and his stories right?!

Adam's Father told Adam with a bit of anger “ Look for that key immediately! "

Adam replied quietly “ Yes, father “

10 minutes passed… Adam struggled to find the key. 
As minutes passed by, to a few hours gone, Adam still didn’t find the key.
Adam started to sweat, his father fell asleep. Adam tried very hard to find the key, he even sat down and did some yoga.

 It was a hard, difficult , mysterious mission still yet to be solved.

Task Description :

This week Room 1 Literacy is learning or rewriting a narrative. The picture giving is to help given a better thought of our narrative to write about. Please keep in mind that the blue font is the story starter meaning I didn't write it because it was a story started that came off a site. However the black writing font is my carried on story towards the story starter! I am hoping to finish of my writing whenever I have Spare time to finish it off.

Overall Reflection:

My overall Reflection I would have to say it was a great task to do. I enjoyed writing this Narrative because I haven't wrote one in a long time!
What can I do differently next time:

I think I would change the way I thought about it and maybe changed it abit, but it otherwise it was overall great!
